Notes: Based on the Vigilant Class, designed by Geiger for wood construction.\nWith some justification, the CHINOOK 34 holds the claim as being the first fiberglass production sailboat of this size to be built in the US.\nThe builder, Marine Costructors Inc. was founded by a group of indiduals who wished to build boats for themselves at a reasonable cost. The company, expanded to build other models as Cascade Yachts and still remained in business into the 21st century.\nDetails with rig, interior, etc., vary considerably.
