CR Yachts was founded in 1989 by Charles and Marita Rutgersson. At the age of 15 Charles started working at Harry Hallberg's yard in Kungsviken (now Hallberg-Rassy). He worked there for 15 years, 7 years as a carpenter and 8 as service manager, before he decided to start his own company. \r\nIn 1990 Charles developed the CB 370, the first model from the yard.\r\nIn 2017, CR Yachts became part of the Sweden Yachts Group, owned by Charles' son Mattias.\r\nThe company appears to be out of business by 2024.
