Founded by boat builder Oluf Jørgensen, who went on his own and created the successful Luffe 37, built at one of the most successful shipyards in Denmark. \r\nIn 1983 the Luffe 44 was introduced, the fastest boat in Sjælland Rundt Race (the Danish boat race around the island of Zealand) that year as well as in 1984 and 1985.
