The Thomas Knutson Shipbuilding Corporation was started by Thomas Knutson at Halesite, Long Island, NY (USA). It was passed on to his sons and then his grandsons. Over the years the Knutson name has gone on hundreds of yachts, both sail and power. During World War II and the Korean War the company built tugs, sub-chasers, rescue and patrol boats.
