Well known Australian boat builder. David Binks produced the first fibrerglass yacht built in Australia and then perfected a system of sandwiching a lightweight foam core between two layers of fiberglass, a concept that was embraced by boat builders around the world.\r\n\r\nIn 1972, a fire destroyed the Binks factory including the moulds of boats.\r\n\r\nHe retired in 2008.\r\n\r\nThe company no longer builds yachts.
